As far as doing the updates, 09 and newer have a different front end geometry. So it's less aggressive, and more trail friendly. Is that what you are referring too? There is a endless amount of information on this site, which should help you out in any other questions you have. Good Luck

I recently bought the same sled in July! I cant wait to get mine out either and clean it up and add some cosmetic things like change my factory little chrome windshield to one like yours and I should be ready to go. Buying a sled way before winter is a bad idea considering all you can do is look at it and start it up and you can only do that so often until the girlfriend starts thinking you've gone crazy. Cant wait!

boritzer1234 YOU are completely Right on the summer purchase!! Its has to be one of the hardest things that I have ever done... waiting and waiting... Good News the 2010-2011 Winter forecast came out and it looks promising for the area that I ride in! 
Temps are already starting to fall and its ONLY 78 Days Until the Trails OFFICIALLY open in MI...
As far as updates, Yamaha Motor Corp. hasn't had any updates for example: "the phazer with the fan" I know of a hand full of people who went to their dealers and they put it on for free. Theres noting along those lines for the 08 Nytro? I'm not saying a cooling fan but in general and updates. I read many topics on TY these past few days and I just don't want to miss anything.
