If you run an RX-1 and an Apex at 10,400 to 10,500 which they both seam to run well at. Does the change in the PTO gearing make the overall gearing in the Apex 2-3 percent lower and the RX-1 have a little more top end potential. I think I remember the gearing being different by 1 tooth.

Apex @ 10,500 rpm theoretical top speed = 121.2 mph

RX-1 @ 10,500 rpm theoretical top speed = 124.2 mph

the apex is geared 1 tooth lower in the gear reduction in the motor to get the higher rpm engine to the same clutch speed,do the math and it should be the same speed as the older sleds but something is holding the top speeds down cause my bone stock 03 is at least 5mph faster on top under ideal conditions, everywhere else the apex kills it but top speed is not there right out of the box
