Has anyone ever had an issue with the seal letting oil leak on the pto shaft where the bottom pulley mounts?

It just starting doing this, and I am wondering if a vent line is pinched on the crank-case or the breather on my oil tank in blocked. I tried thread the seal into the cover and torque to about 20 ft-lbs. as called out but he o ring kept rolling out? :o|

Please share your thoughts.

Yes it did happen to me. Had to change the seal.

At the same time you may want to change the two SC bearing, mine give away after 4500 miles.

If the cover jumps out of your hands and slams in it will roll the seal. It happened to me and I had to get a new one.

the cover is not jumping out, when you thread in the part, there is an o ring, and when you tighten it it is pushing the o ring out. the mating surface does NOT have a indentation for it to sit. It is round and the seal is part that threads in is falt and the cover where you remove the plug and thread in this in is flat too. So it pushes out the o ring instead of compressing it. I will use a flat of squre on next. It is igure 19 on the install of the Nytro MPI site.

I just talked with Matt from MPI, that o-ring should slide into the housing whaen tighten. There Lies the issue, will get it fixed up tonight!

Did you oil the o-ring before install?

I did, the problem was simple, there are two #023's on is auto the other is industrial.. Well guess what one I was using? Auto, right? WRONG!!! they both are tight, but auto is way to think to fit! Got the right on by guessing the size and looked at the part number, 023 industrial. BINGO!

All back together, however there is a slight oil leak i think maybe at the valve cover? (I hope) it is driping up high and a drip down, so on to the next issue. I'll pull the tank tomorrow night and look for something leaking. Took it on a test ride tonight, she moves, just dripping oil, or dare I say Horse Power! I'll keep you posted. Thank you everyone.
