New shaft arrived tonight. Looking for any advice on how to install it.
1. Do the shaft splines need to be greased? I do not plan to use any bearing sealer. Do I need to grease the seal or any special handling for the large seal?
2. Do I need to align the space in the gear teeth? I believe it is for the cam sensor. I assume it is not used for timing. Please confirm I simply push the stub shaft onto the male spline on the crank
3. I assume the extra bearing that came with the stuff shaft is not used for reinstall (there was no bearing attached when I pulled out the old stub shaft
4. What is the torque for the two larger bolts and torque for the four smaller bolts
5. Finally, when I torque the primary clutch, I torque to 85 ft/pd and then 43 ft/pd. Do I loosen the bolt after the initial torque and then retorque to 43 ft/pd

I can answer question #5 for you. Yes, you should do exactly as you say. 85, loosen and then torque to 43.

I installed the shaft today. I placed small amount of engine oil on seal and shaft. We aligned the special teeth to the engine spline and it slid in without difficulty. We did no use any grease on spline or shaft, only engine oil. We did not have t0rque spec for the four shaft bolts or the two larger bolts so I used blue lock tight and snugged them tight with a small amount of torque (20 ft/pd).
FYI The shaft will not enter the spline unless aligned. I had difficulty with all the entries about using various bearing lock tight. I did not use any type of bearing lock tight. I assume the previous owner trashed this bearing when he exploded a belt because there was belt string ALL OVER. I was digging string out of ever place.
If you EXPLODE a belt I would recommend you pull the primary clutch and make sure there is now threads rubbing the bearing seal. CHEAP insurance. I just spent $400 for new bearing/hub. You wont find a clutch puller this expensive.
