I'm new to the SC scene and I'm trying to understand a little about how the pulleys work on the superchargers. For example the pulleys I have on my MPI kit are 28/28 and this produces x amount of psi. What pulley needs to be changed to lower boost so I can ride in lower elevation?

Making Drive pully smaller or driven pully bigger will both have the desired effect . Or a combination of both.

Think of it like changing gears on a 10 speed bike. The different ratios will make the blower spin faster or slower in relation to crankshaft speed.
I'm not the best with knowing MPI's pulley combos, but I think a 28/28 should be giving you around 5-7 psi, right? What are you trying to lower it to? If you ride NE you're at a similar elevation to me, and I've got a buddy with an MPI running 27/29, that only making about 3-4 psi on an non-intercooled kit.

To lower your boost from wherever it's at now, either smaller on the bottom OR bigger on the top will lower the boost for you though.
