I put the OEM mountain ski's on my FX and enjoy the sled even more now. I think it helped with the ski lift also, but I'm not really sure cuz I seemed to fix that problem with 2 clicks on the compression on the shocks. I've had nothing but a great experience with this sled so far (only froze to the tunnel once and with where my feet sit when standing up, I don't get much ice build up), it's loads of fun and I have no problem keeping up with the SRX and Attak. I don't think this is the sled for everyone, but it is very much the sled for me. ;)!

I did this to my GT, for $208 Cdn, it was entirely worth it.

For anyone else planning on doing it, you will need the ski's, good time to change carbides if you got a few miles, I would get the rubber insert on the MnTn lite skis, the GT's was too small (the rubber piece that sits under where the ski attaches) and make sure to get the new wider pins and spacers.

Huge difference in deeper snow.

When you compare the Yamaha mtn. ski to some of the aftermarkets like SLP's, the keel looks almost identical. I have these skis on the Mtn. Lite and My Attak and IMO they are the best value a Yamaha rider can do to their sled as skis are concerned.
