I believe the OEM skis with Stud Boy deuce bars work better on trails then the Pilots or Kimpex Arrows (tried both). Curves work better by far than all three.

You need to get the rubbers for the skis from a ZX body ski-doo. I belive 98 moild year will work. I love the 6.9s pilots I have them on all three of my sleds. a 6" in the middle and a 4" on the outside.

I agree with Grizz on this one.
I mounted a set of Pilot 5.7's on my Nytro at mid season and loved them at first. However as i rode them more i really feel the stock Yammie skis with the duece bars is a better all around set up.
The Pilots provide less flotation in deep snow, are over aggressive on sloppy or loose groomed trails and they just didn't seem to handle well in anything other than hard packed groomed trail riding.
I did use my stock rubbers (modified on the bottoms) and switched the shims around to fit. However i will be putting on new skis next years... Either curve or C&A's

I put a set of pilot on my machine and am very pleased with them. I feel they work well for me in pretty much all conditions. I tried the stock skis with the duce bar and felt the pilots worked better and have never gone back. I've had the machine set up like this since the 2008 season.
