I guess that's why I haven't seen it first hand, I hate trailering for 2-3 hours each way to ride then come back home. I'd rather spend the 4-6 hours travel time on the sled. So I usually drive to the nearest start point (40min) and ride the local trails. Those trails get way more traffic and aren't always great

MOST LIKELY I SPELLED IT WRONG. DANCERS. THE RED LIGHT IN VAL D'OR IS ONE OF THE BEST FOLLOWED BY JR'S IN JONQUIER . THIS PLACE I KNOW I SPELLED WRONG. IT'S UP NEAT ROBERVAL.
SEEMS LIKE 10 YEARS AGO EVERY LITTLE TOWN WE STOPPED IN HAD A DANCER PLACE. ONETIME WE STOPED IN A PLACE AND I JOKINGLY ASKED THE GUY WHERE THE DANCERS WERE. IN 15 MINUTES ABOUT 5 SHOWED UP.. WE STAYED THERE A VERY LONG TIME.
THE GASPE HAS THE FEWEST DANCER LOCATIONS. ONE IN RIVIERE-DU-LOUP ONE IN POINTE-A-LA-CROIX. THERE WAS ONE CALLED THE HOTEL SMITH NEAR CHANDLER BUT IT CLOSED. I RIDE WITH A BUDDY FROM CUMBERLAND, ONTARIO AND HE KNOWS THE BEST PLACES.....

I'm headed to Canada with 5 others next Friday for a week. This is my first trip there, the guys I'm riding with have been riding there for many years without any issues. I have heard the stories previously mentioned in this post. I' m glad this trip is with knowledgable guys of the " right" places to go.
Anyone from the Albany area frequent there with some additional helpful info.
Thanks in advance

I too have done numerous trips to Quebec. The only time I enjoyed riding more was in West Yellowstone.
Favorite trips in QC are the Gaspe and taking off from St. Raymond and doing a loop around Lac St. Jean.

Oh and IMO the Apex is the best sled ever built for Quebec trails!

APEX
10-4 ON THE APEX. IT GETS AWESOME FUEL MILEAGE WHICH IS IMPORTANT SINCE GAS IS NOT ALWAYS CLOSE BY. ALSO IT HAS THE BALLS AND THE STAMINA TO ROLL AT TOP SPEED. ONE NOTE ON FUEL. ALWAYS TOP OFF WHEN YOU CAN. NEVER SAY, I'L MAKE IT TO THE NEXT GAS BECAUSE THE NEXT GAS MIGHT NOT BE OPEN.

Re: APEX
Amen to that. We were on a saddle bag trip in 2000. Headed to relais 22 there was one gas stop between our last stop and the relais. We got there and the gas stop wasn't open. Long story short we all ran out of fuel. The guy that made it the farthest had to walk in the dark until some sledders came. We ended up getting someone to bring us fuel and we got to our hotel at 2 in the morning!
That was back in the day though with (2) SRX 700's, a T-Cat, a ZRT 800, and my 99 XC 600. The SRX's made it the furthest!

I'm doing a 3 day loop from Mont Laurier to Trois-Rives Matawin to Wemotaci. We're leaving from the comfort inn in Mont Laurier. Does anyone know where to stay in the other towns I listed. Thanks in advance
