Ok, My turn to chime in 
This is the 12th year I'm going to Quebec, and I have stayed in St Donat and St Zenon in several Motels, This year I will be trying Shawinagan and staying at Auberge Escapade.
I have not gone sledding in the US in 12 years!
After you go to Quebec you won't either 
You will think your in snowmobile Heaven
I have never had anything stolen, and I don't worry about it. I take precautions and lock everything up and also disable my vehicle electrically!
Here is the Analogy: When you snowmobile in the US its like sailing a boat in a pond, when you snowmobile in Quebec, its like sailing in the OCEAN. WooooHooooo!!!!!! Gittyup! YaHooo :mrgreen:
