No you cannot move the backrest forward. It only has one position when on the sled. Adustable would have been nice though.

Some guy on this site did a modification to his so that he can .He even had pics on here .Do a search you might find it ,I think he was willing to make more for cash.
The seat is removable, but not adjustable.

All the new manfactures sleds come with non adjustable ones. Reason for this is something to do with the backrest actually hurting the driver if you hit a big bump or something I hear. Look at the new Polaris, Ski-doo all non adjustable now.
