Question for NOS PRO

Terry I have my nitrous system installed and I would like to get a spare 10lb bottle to store extra and fill my 2.5lber. What hose do I need and how does the transfer work? I know nothing of nitrous and I am learning. I know you cool the empty bottle and the transfer automatically happens from the large (room temperature) bottle. How do you know without a scale when the small (bottle being filled) is full?

P.S. the nitrous set up I have is the BOSS NOSS system.

You need a number 4 hose and the best way to determain if the bottle is full. It is hard to judge otherwise. We sell 10 bottles if you need them for $175 plus shipping and the hose we sell for $40. hope this helps

I purchased a 75lb scale from ebay for around 50.00 and I use it for ups shipping.Should work great for filling tanks too.

Black 1000 you said you are getting them filled locally,is that bay city or saginaw?And where?Ive called alpeana welding supply twice to try and purchase 75lb tank of nitrous but they never have called back.

trail riding, I just let the bottle transfer itself. Yes, the scale is the best way to check weight, and strongly recommend that it be checked. I just know by temperature, that it will be full or very close to it. Knowing close to the temperature of the bottle, seems to work for me. If in the freezer, and the mother bottle in the sink with warm, NOT HOT, water, will put over the amount. I like to have the bottle at about 25-30 degrees, and the mother bottle at 85, body temperature.

I have my mother bottle 20lb filled at Valerios on Gratiot (m-46) in Saginaw. I think Rosebush Auto in Bay City will fill bottles that are at least 10lbs. Hope this helps.
