how long will a bottle of nitrous last when shooting a 60 shot through a boss noss system. I think that it comes with a 2.5 pound bottle and I was woundering how often I will need to refill it.

about 10-12 5 second runs in stock boss trim. i changed the solenoid and now i am using twice the ammount of nitrous. you might get maybe 7 shots with a bigger solenoid.

is that running a 2.5 bottle and also how much difference does the bigger solenoid make

I don't believe you get a true 60 horses with Boss. I have a NX and N.O.S. kit on 2 Apex's and I get 3 to 4 10 sec hits with a 40hp shot with a 2.5lb bottle filled to the brim. YEEEE HAAAAAA. I've seen dyno sheets posted on here that show rated HP but dyno and real world HP are 2 different things.

Seven 5 or three 10 sec hits seems about right with true 60 HP and 2.5 lb bottle. ;)!

I carry an extra bottle in a backpack because it goes quick and I refill the bottles after every ride.

yep its with a 2.5lb bottle. with the stock solenoid the rpms just creep up to 11,200, with a nos solenoid installed the needle pegs to 11,200 as soon as you hit the bottle, its a night and day difference!!!!! it hits so much harder.

HUH?

What do you mean?

How else can I explain it?

Dynos show #'s within a closed controlled environment. #'s in the real world vary based on condition's; ambient temp, bottlepressure, fuel pressure, snow conditions, track and suspension setup etc.

Sorry 10-12 5 sec hits of nitrous do not add up to 60hp with a 2.5 lb bottle.

60hp is = too

2.5 lbs N2O/.72lbs in 10sec.=3.47 10 sec hits of juice

NItros

And how much to fill a 2.5lb bottle?

Trying to figure what it is going to cost for a few giggles.

A budy and I had to resort to buying a nitrous pump off of e-bay for $700 and we buy the nos in 65lb bottles for $400. About $6 a pound.
We did this because buying nos in northern Alta. is a bit unreliable. When you want nos YOU WANT NOS.

Where I live I can get it for 3.95 lb

Hey, that Holly info is pretty good. I have the 50HP set up with a 3lb bottle. That seems pretty close to what mine lasts. I get 50-60 seconds total...depending on bottle pressure. That math works.
