how come when somebody on a atv rides in deep water sometimes even over the atv the water dont crack the motor? im just curiuse because my gramps owned a big red 250 three wheeler a lond time ago he was riding along the catawba river and slide in and he claims it was so hot it cracked the motor cause of the water hitten the hot motor. so overall i see people on killeratv.com practiclly sinking them and riding throu them all the time i guess no motor damages??any replys much apreciated!

When I was moto crossing we would pull in off the track on a muddy day and pull right over to the water hoses and wash the heavy mud off. Even with air cooled bikes that had to be really hot because the entire engine would be encased in mud there was no damage.
