I have a 09 LTX and while getting it out of storage I noticed some marks on the rear cooler from my studs I have the 1.325 I think woodys studs. Some of the marks are kinda deep looking no leaks or anything but want to make sure I don't punture the rear cooler this winter. I weigh around 240 geared up and had the dealer setup my sled for my weight and didn't think I'd need to do a revalve since in 09 they were alot better valved but thinking a spring change or revalve plus thicker tunnel protectors any ideas Thanks Mark

you will see lots on here about cooler protectors. i am not sure on the 09 ltx, but if it's like 08 & down you must have protectors. there is no way i would trust a re-valve or spring. one big hit & you still will bottom out.
from what i know... with 1.325" picks you need 1.5" protectors. i had 1.25" protectors with 1.325" picks & it would still hit. tig weld some alum protectors on & away you go. maybe dealer has another remedy... since it is a factory cooler !

I had to add 1 1/2 in of protection also on mine. It hit with 1 1/8in. not much but it hit.

You have to add to yours I believe. Home Depot sells Aluminum bar stock and square tubeing. Also old hyfax works. Just taper it down as you get near the upper wheels. End the add on protection just behind the upper wheels.
