I know most people are switching over to copper donuts versus using the graphite ones, is there any chance that the copper ones could cause the titanium pipe or the header pipe exhaust flanges to crack ?
The reason I ask, the graphite I would think would have a little flex between the pipes or can squish , with the copper, they are more rigid, thereby transferring all the flex to either the header or the titanium pipe ?
Just a question, hopefully not a possibility. ..

And there's a flex pipe right next to the exhaust donuts.

Aren't some of the flex pipes cracking, I believe around the flex pipe flanges ?

My nytro (sold now) has about 15000km with copper donuts with no issues. The only flex pipe issues l have seen were the result of a loose exhaust moving around putting stress on the flex pipes. I've seen the aforementioned due to 2 reasons: first the graphite exhaust donuts were disintegrated allowing the exhaust to float where the donut usually is; second instance was from the forward tunnel header mount not being bolted allowing movement there

I ran copper for over 15,000km and there were no problems. Have heard stories like that but I would argue they aren't that common. If things are buttoned up tight they are going to last for awhile.

in the family there is 6 4 stroke yammys. of the 6, 1 has the y pipes replaced from waiting too long and the one rx that was bought used cheap (really cheap) to repair/replace my brothers franken warrior, the po had used 1 screw to hold in the pipe support in the tunnel witch caused the cast muffler mount to shatter and all 4 flex pipes to fail. we thought it was just donuts at the time of purchase.
