Question on deformed track..

I purchased a 14' Viper RTX off a family member last year with the original track with 4k miles. The rear driveshaft/wheels were blown out. It was never diagnosed, and the track was overly tightened. It sat this way for a 2-3 years and has deformed the track somewhat. It's noticeable at lower speeds. I put 500 miles on it last year hoping that with correct track deflection and some miles, it would straighten out, but it has not.

Is there anyway to smoothen out the hump, or do i just have to pony up and buy a new track?

You may be SOL. It may come back but it could be a long time. It would need some heat to help it shrink back.

from the sounds of it, you would be better off replacing it and let it relax/rest in a shed for a few years before trying to use it again.

I agree with you and I think replacement is my best option. This will give me a chance to check last year's work and see how the updated pto driveshaft bearing with set screws held up. I picked up a lower mileage 1.25" ripsaw 1 quiet track for $260 bucks, so that should work for now.

Loose. Pulled skid this morning. Updated previous post to mention that.

Yes. It did not seem to make much difference.
