1: What do I need to loosen to rotate the throttle assy on the handlebar. The flipper needs to be rotated down a bit.
2: What are you guys running for fuel? Sticker on the tank says use premium, but I seem to recall posts saying regular runs fine.
Thanks,

There is one #2 phillips screw on the front side of the black housing that holds the flipper. Remove and rotate. On the brake side there are 2 phillips facing directly downward toward the ground. Remove them, then slide the cover toward you to remove. 2 Allen bolts will adjust the brake module. The engine will make more power with 91. There is a knock sensor that will flash if the machine starts to detonate, it will then retard the timing slightly so as not to damage the engine. It only costs $2 or $3 more to use premium, so why not?...unless its unavailable.

The Phazer is wife's sled. Nytro uses regular. We typically fill both together, so now its 5 or 6 bucks extra per fill up. Plus regular is fresher gas in most places. If it's just a reduction of a couple of HP, she won't care about that - not a real agressive rider. But if knock sensor starts coming on regularly, then I have no problem with using premium.Ruckus said:The engine will make more power with 91. Again - thanks for the reply

I'm on my second tank of E10 87 octane and haven't tripped the knock sensor light yet. IF the light doesn't come on you WILL be making more HP that on 91 octane. If mine ever does trip then I'll switch to 89. Also most of the 2010's except the RTX are listed as regular 87 inthe Yamaha website.

Your saying that it will have more HP with 87 octane vs 91?
