Just bought a heated visor and need a quick install to get power to the handlebar riser .
I have a universal 2 foot long hook up with a red fused wire and a black wire .
The ends of the wires have a washer attached .
Where should I connect these ?
Going to let it hang from the riser as it is not one to drill thru the dash .

There's a power supply right by the chaincase/oil tank

Doesn't have the cigarette lighter socket on left side of gage pod?

Right to the battery under the seat.

Knapps right, here. Just pick up an in line fuse line to attach to the battery. That'll give you the length you need.

Go with that spot next to chaincase as mentioned above. Takes about two minutes and your done and have the Yamaha harness. There is a wire there with a capped off plug end.

The problem with the plug is if you already have something plugged in to it...ie...my led hand guards. So maybe sledroll already using it like me.

Search "SAE splitter" on amazon or ebay if you want a compatible connector splitter for connecting multiple 12v accessories. Just don't overload it with current draw.

Or the AF module connected there too.

Just add a length of wire and go direct to the Battery. Easy peasy.

unfortunately the wires that I have are not long enough to get to the battery , and are not the Yamaha plug and play suggest ones.
This is the one I need , bit was not available in store.

Which lead is positive , the male or female ?

I wouldn't be afraid of drilling through the plastics either. You can pick up these plugs that easily mount with one small hole. I installed mine just below the rocker for the heated seat. Yamaha Part number : Yamaha 8LJ-H3619-00-00 PLUG, HEATER

I don't have the end that attaches to the panel , mine is a hanger , so I will zip tie it to the riser .
I need to leave room to install my in dash 8 track player !!!!!

Center terminal of your round end is positive. Don't know where that comes out on the other end.
