I had some steering binding today along with a bad squeeky noise when I turned. I tracked it down to a steering shaft pivot point on the right side above the brake. A little W.D. 40 took care of it.I didn't see a grease fitting or any good way to get some heavier lube into that area. Anyone else have that, and if so how did you lube it?

You can keep it lubed with a penetrating oil and it will work or drill and tap the retaining plate and install a grease zert. Also drill a hole through the bushing.

I spray mine with silicone after every run, watch out for WD-40 as it actually gets sticks after prolonged use, use silicone spray

Thanks for the replies. I wondered what was better W.D. or silicone as I use both from time to time. I think it was binding before I noticed the squeak, cause it steers much easier now.

I have been using white grease from an aersol can to lube the steering linkage. Has worked well so far.
