i am getting ready to install my 05 121 mono skid had to have the ra cable update done because the stock one got torn off so now heres the question the setting is going to be off because the knob was turned back and forth so i dont know where to start for a setting on the knob because the cable was gone while turning , i am sure there is some way i hope so i dont only have like clicks to soft or whichever

Attach the new cable to the shock. Turn the other end with pliers all the way to soft(should be clockwise). Turn your RA knob all the way to soft and connect cable once skid is in.

Your actually supposed to sync them on the firm setting.
I prefer not to use pliers as it might damage the end of the cable. You can temporarily insert the cable into the RA adjuster (without tightening the retainer) and use the adjuster to turn the cable.
Basically pull the cable out, turn the adjuster towards soft, insert the cable, turn the adjuster to hard, etc. Once the cable stops turning, pull it out and turn the adjuster to hard and then install. Don't force the cable too hard. You want it to "just" sit at full hard at the same time as the adjuster is at full hard.

Don't think it matters which end of the travel you go to. As long as you put them both to the same spot they will be in sync.
