I have an '05 RX-1 that needs a new RA cable. The part is in and I am ready to install it. It all looks very simple but the only question I have is how do I know the adjuster on the tunnel is in sink with the clicker on the shock? Does the fitting for the cable on the shock only turn so far like the adjuster on the tunnel side? Anyone got any tips/advice for me when I install this thing? The adjuster has been turned many times be people looking at the machine when the old cable was off so It is no longer in the same position it was when the cable broke.

I can't remeber when I did mine if the end of the cable only goes in 1 way. but if not use a tool to crank the shock all the way counter or clockwise and do the same to the knob.

Turn the adjuster knob to hard and notice as you are turning it that the end of the cable turns the oposite way do to the gear reduction. Now turn the shock that way, oposite to the dial. I use a small pocket screwdriver, you can feel it click as you turn. I leave the shock one click from hard, but thats just me.
Hope this helps, if not I will try again.
