1 thing that no one mentions is that they WEIGH A TON and remember back when the 1st RX 1ton came out how we got bashed now look who's got the heaviest PRODUCTION sled now! I said PRODUCTION not turbo or modified, don't get me wrong I'm not bashing CAT I'm just bringing up a point, CAT guys bashed us long enough with our 4 strokers who's laughing now...I guess will have to call them "FAT CAT"

Am Snow magazine just came in & they dynoed the Cat & it was 182 & looked good in the shoot out section. I know I am VERY HAPPY with my STOCK Attak for speed & quickness !!!!!!

Yeah...they might be a little heavy only have 150hp but atleast their not LAZY and use every HORSE effectively...I love mine too for its get up and go in STOCK format

An un-biased friend of mine rode one past weekend & thought clutching was wrong. He feels if they get the clutching right; they're gonna rip! Yamaha is the only first year sled i'd buy for that reason. They always seem spot on with engine & clutch tuning right out of box...

one of my co-workers is a die hard cat guy was talking with one of the leading cat dealers in ontario and what the dealer said was the turbo sleds that the media tested were not production sleds (i know that is the norm across the board to test prototypes) but what he said was that cat (factory guys not dealers) modified them quite heavily ie bigger intercoolers and more boost that what is offered on production modles, whether it is true i dont know but the cat dealer that he was talking too is VERY reputable and has been building fast custome cats for years, people from canada will have seen him years ago in the snow goers when they did dealer mods for the mag, sorry guys i do not want to name his name because i do have alot of respect for this guy. i dont know if its true but it does make sence, he also said the fastest cat out there was the crossfire R 1000. NOT THE TURBO. just thought i would share what i heard

i did a test ride whit a Z-1 turbo,and felt like it would leave my apex in the dust,just be careful and yes it was stock,no top speed but acceleration is great.
