What rpm should an apex be running at on a high speed run

RUNNING 10,600 ON ATTAK, SEEING 118MPH ON DREAM-METER, ONLY MOD 50/40 HELIX W/60 TWIST, THE SLED ROCKET'S OUT OF THE HOLE, CRUSHING EVERYONE I'VE RACED SO FAR

If your running over 10,700 you need to do something!!! Your throwing precious power out the window!!!

attak, comes out at around 10,300-10,500 then climbs to 11,000, i have seen 11,100 running 130 mph on speedo with excell pipe, but was same way with stock pipe (exhaust is only mod )

too high...

I'm new to the 4-Stroke deal so when I looked around this is what I found. I'm still on the fence about letting it over rev. I'm not really opposed to it if that what works on the snow because once the clutches have shifted all the way out the only way the go faster is RPM or gearing. I'll keep on watching results and try to make an informed decision later. For now I'm shooting for 10,500 RPM.

Factory Recommended
10,500 RPM

DynoTech (Jim) Dyno Runs
10,500 RPM
10,700 RPM

SuperTuner (Freddie) Dyno Runs
10,400 RPM
10,500 RPM

You said same as stock, what was you refering to,the same rpms or same speed,do you feel the pipe helped your midrange and topend and did it hurt your milage??

With all of this talk about rpm's does anyone know how accurate the factory tach is???If it is off it might explain alot of questions...

the excell pipe gives you more throttle response above 6500 rpms, as far as fuel mileage goes i get about 12 miles to the gallon, and thats beating the sled to death every mile off the ride. people that say you lose fuel mileage with the excell pipe might be correct only because the f#$%&* ing sound is so awsome your constantly holding it to the bar.

Why not ask Freddie or Dynotech what the tach was reading during those dyno runs? And ask whoever made that dynosheet that is posted above, why it's corrected up over 10 HP!!!!

dyno sheet

look at the top of the dyno sheet. new moter with zero miles. things tend to change after break in some thing that we all know dont we.
