I went to some radar runs in Winthrop Maine sponsored by http://www.tripledigitsracing.us/ It was setup at 1000 feet. I saw some nice RX-1s there one that ran 129 MPH I imagine was a turbo because you could hear him feathering the throttle for the first 100 feet. I only have a stock sled with 144 carbide tip trail picks. I couldnt hook up even if I jumped on it. Still ran 95.07 my buddies MachZ with different base gaskets clutching and jetting plus 200+ chisel tooths ran 100 and his brothers ZL 900 V-Force reeds chisel tooths jetting and clutching ran 98 so all in all it was good. I didnt do anything to my suspension and when my buddy let me try his MachZ it would pull the skis for about 80 feet on the lake with snow I figure if I could have set mine up to transfer wieght like that I could get a couple of MPH more. I just went for fun so I am not about to mess with all that crap. We ran across the lake to see about top speed. They pulled me bad out of the hole but I stayed with them to about 100 when the cat blew her belt all to hell. He didnt want to get towed back in front of all those people and did not have a spare belt. So he put the Doo belt on and limped it back. That was probably the best part of the day. LOL

Race,
You mentioned 2 different towns in your post, Winslow and then Winthrop. I was on Maranacook lake yesterday which is in Winthrop, but I put in on the Readfield side and did not make it to the Winthrop end. Cooling was an issue on all 3 sleds so we didn't get to explore the lake.
We managed a couple of runs, the 2 Viper ERs were running 116 on the speedo and my RX-1 was running 124, this lake has about 1" of crust, thus, no cooling at all. Is this where you were at :?: if so, looks like I came close.

Yea know the feeling race,we did a 1/4 mile radar in augusta,or near augusta last year, its the pond that pine tree camp is on,now it was a good event, fun time woody had two turbos up there last year he had one go thru 121 but like you said had to feather it,as they were trail sleds w/very little hook up as well,he let me take it for a rip and i blasted thru the end of track at 138 speedo radar was gone,by then,i just wanted to try it,wow loved it,it was a stage two bender,on high octain fuel, and sounded mean to boot. OK back to run we ran our rx1s thru at 103 and 104 spinning about 150-200 ft.out of the gate,it was so chewed up,you couldent find a good line even when you moved 50' foward, traction was very bad, there was some good running f-7s and zr9s running 108-109 but lowered and hooked up from hell lol trask had his srx run 110 not bad.

Sorry Motorhead I meant Winslow I live in Winthrop. My name is Ron Stewart you are from Augusta maybe we have met. I am 33 years old I ride a 00 Blue and Silver Hayabusa in the summer and we all used to hang out on the Ave. Maybe we can get together for a ride. I have another friend in Mount Vernon with a RX-1 too. Keep an eye on the triple digit website they have something almost every weekend. Maybe we can all hook up and go?

Race, Please don't be sorry, I was not implying anything, just interested in the location, sounds like fun !!!
My name is Dennis Lettre I live in Augusta and work in Winthrop, I too enjoy cycles but cannot have the kind of speed you ride, Big trouble for me license wise, so I bought 2001 Heritage, it's nice for cruising around. My wife has a Yamaha 2003 650 VStar, hoping to upgrade her this year, (the bike not the wife)
Anyways thanks for the website, I'll look into it and maybe hookup sometimes !! I drive a red 2000 Yukon and pull a red SnoPro 4 place enclosed, it's hard to miss.
