Out riding on very icy trails, I know the sled was running warm, because other sleds were over heating, my temp lite never came on & my heat exchangers felt as warm as the over heated sleds, my question is at what point does the fan come on, does it come on after it overheats.

Mine comes on prior to the overheat light coming on. Typically I'll start feeling my right foot and lower right leg getting warm from the fan blowing the hot air on them

Do a search and you can get the exact temp but I believe it's about 10 to 15 degrees F before the temp light goes on. It's weird you can actually feel when the fan comes on in your foot. You would never think that a little 5 inch fan would produce enough/different vibration to be able to feel it over the rest of the sled. Gotta love the smoothness of the 4 holer.

I feel the heat from the fan not a vibration.
