Has anyone added foam to raise up an 05 RX1 seat? I am adding a 3 1/2' rox riser so might need to raise the seat a little. Thanks

Shure
I used extra firm foam 2" thick and cut it approximatly 15" wide by 24" long. You take all the staples out of the seat from the front all the way around to where the seat starts tapering up in the back on both sides.Lift up the cover and foam in the front and wedge the 2" foam as far back underneath the original foam as you can. Then put a few staples in the front of the seat and work your way around the sides alternating from one side to the other.Dont use too long of staple as it will cut your seat cover from the inside out.I use 1/4" long staples.
The seat itself is actually around 17" wide the reason I made the foam 15" is I only wanted the center of the seat raised and also it makes the cover easier to get back on.

I like what you did with the bar mount...very creative.
Any issue with the bars hitting the windshield?

The brake lever does touch the windshield ever so slightly when turned all the way to the right, but I dont think it will be an issue.I can always pop the plastic trim off the winshield and trim the winshield as needed and glue the trim back on.
Also what you cant see is I cut the foam off the front of the bar pad and placed it behind the handle bars which allows me to still see the speedometer sittin down and also makes it look like the bars are in the factory position.

Yep its aluminum.
The block is .750" thick and measures 3.1" wide and 4.2" long.It ends up being 1.75" taller and 2.1" more forward than stock. When you take off the bars you can use the factory bar mount clamp to center punch where the holes will be(tranfer punches works best) .The front four holes tap with a 8x1.25mm tap .Back four holes drill just large enough for the 8mm bolt to go through. Also on the bottom of the factory bar clamps there is a tang that sticks down that must be sanded or ground off so that it will sit flat on the aluminum block.I had to route my wires in back of the handle bars for clearance reasons and be shure to chamfer the sharp edge of the aluminum block so that it doesnt eventually cut into the wires.
