What is the easiest and most reliable way to raise rpm's?

Allways , allways 100% of the time tune your primary clutch for rpm,s. Tuning the secondary by increasing & decreasing twist is not a good thing.
Turk, not doubting just wondering why ?

I totally agree, I installed a set of Heavy Hitters and tuned them to near perfection without touching my secondary.
My Warrior goes to 10,100 and climbs to 10,500.
Posted some very impressive speeds Sunday At Otis resivoir.
101 in 1320 and 111 topspeed on radar 125 on speedo.
Being this was the only change I made other than 168 woody's megabites.

By changing rpm,s at the secondary you are doing this by either decreasing efficiency or backing off the torsion so much the belt slips. Too tight in the driven & the secondary will stay in low gear & not shift out. Too soft & the secondary will shift too soon causing the belt to slip or the drive train to be in too high a gear for the speed you are travelling.

Yes I know it was a big change but with only 2 purchases compared to others that by multiple parts with no better performance.
By the way I ran 9.38 et 150 mph in my 3400 lb. street car on street legal tires, 355 small block, 5 spd manual, 10.5 x 29.5 ET streets, 73 Camaro Rally sport.

Ted-Did you end up with the cpr kit? If so, how much of a change did you make from their recommended set-up to where you finished? I was told for the shorty with my stud number and driver wt. that their set'up would run out to 9600 then pull up to 10400. I see in your post you up it to 10100 then go to 10400. Is that due to the lower gearing in the warrior or did it just give you better times? Tx for the advice.

I Did purchase a Clutch Kit from Matt at the Speed shop for my 03 RX1 but haven't installed it yet because it is at the dealer getting some work done under warrantee.
I have Heavy Hitters only in my Warrior, as far as I know they are geared the same.
The RPM I am pulling is due to the Heavy Hitter set up.
Give Matt a call he is very helpful.

stock weights with inner hole empty and tip hole 4.5g rivet
45-41 helix stock springs in both clutches
sek wrapt at 60
10200 out off the hole the göes down to 10000 forabout 2 sek
then slowly climbs to 10200 at 60mph 10300 at 100mph
10500 at 115mph
backshift is exellent and the clutches runs "very cold"

Ted how does your warrior compare to your HO REV ??
I still havent had the chance to ride a rev..and would really like too.

Honestly I love them both, but when it gets bumpy I would rather be on my rev and when it is smooth I would rather be on my Warrior.
Very tough decision just before I begin my ride, which sled will I ride.
The Rev is an incredible machine in its environment, Tight and twisties, rough and tumble More like motocross type riding.
Extremely light, incredibly powerful and quick to get to that power.
If you want to go fast through the woods this is the machine, but given your recent experience you might be better off with another Warrior.
I think you have a new respect for speed in the woods.
Out on the lake the Rev Crushes my Warrior in snow but it is not stock, I made it a Jannetty Racing version of an HO that will run on 87 octane and be happy.
The Rev is also not studded but has 1 1/4" track.

running out on the lake last weekend i could only get to about 9200 rpm when i was cutting first tracks in the 4 to 6" of powder. when i got i somebody track the sled jumped up th almost 10000 rpm. Is there an easy fix for to get 10000 rpm all the time, powder or packed?

Not really the conditions always affect your rpms.
If you install a set of Heavy Hitters you can dial your RPM right where they need to be and they won't be quite as sensitive to conditions.
