I wanted to mount a mirror on my Phazer just for checking if a sled is behind me. But didn't want anything permanent or that would stick up and interfere with the cover.

I had some RAM Mount parts kicking around so I glued a mirror to a RAM mount bracket which attaches to the windshield mount. Its fully adjustable and I can remove it if needed.

The elastics are there to hold the mirror while the glues dries.

sweet nice work there good thinking

I hope that the glue holds, else it's a good idea.

USI makes handguards with a mirror in 'em.
There was no vibration and I could see great behind me but the thin black bracket holding the guard to the bar mount tends to bend quite a bit & eventually will break if you have to use your cover on an open trailer alot like I did. Got replacement brackets from USI then sold them & went to SKINZ.
Great for enclosed owners or if you'd trailer without a cover I guess.

Nice idea, hope it works out for ya' ;)!

I use a Permatex adhesive that's incredibly strong. http://www.permatex.com/products/Automo ... ealant.htm

Its holding my car GPS to another RAM bracket without any problems.

If I was looking for new handguards I would go with the PowerMadd ones and install their mirrors. But I didn't want those. As I mentioned this cost me nothing as I already had the parts plus its easy to remove.
