Just changed my oil/filter at the 1500mile(90hrs)mark.It was pretty dirty so i decide to do it now than wait for the 2500mile mark yamaha stats in the owners manual. My brothers 2012 YFZ450 carb has about 65 hrs on it but the oil doesn,t get as dirty as the raptor(but its changed every 20hrs along with the filter). The YFZ top speed is very close to the raptor now.Riding on a service road really shows how good the top end power of the YFZ is along with the great handling but the 700raptor still holds it own(just got to brake more for the tight corners :exc: ).Trail riding these quads are lots of fun, just got to watch for rocks hiding under the grass(my plastic skid plate is close to 80% gone under the chain, got a new one for backup).Hit 72 mph on the service road and getting close to that on the trails(powersliding a sport quad on wet grass, got to thank my snowmobile trained thumb for that). My stock tires on the 700 are crap for wear and durability(had to slime both tires to stop air leaking out of cracks).Plan on getting a set of GNCC holeshot tires this winter. They are the same weight but are 6ply rated. The drive chains are holding up great and the combination of easy adjustment and blue label chain lube helps alot.Only a month or more of trail riding left then its park time until the snow sets up and lakes freeze.Hope it snows alot so i can give the quads a well deserve break and crack the yamaha sled trottle.

1500miles!? i clean/change mine every 500km... anyways... the scenery looks quite different over there. the trails are nice and wide to ;)
The trail by the river is pretty narrow(old road nearly grown over in places)but still rideable.Pretty lucky to have a diverse riding local.Heres a pic of the riding from my back door(lots of beaches to do speed runs)

yeah. I literally live 40ft from the T'railway so I can pretty much go for a ride from town to town whenever. Mount Peyton is a couple minuets away also. Gota love Newfoundlands diversity!

Pics look good brother. Miss riding already.
We've been to Mount Peyton in winter; a summer trip is in the cards.
