rat weight settings and results

SORRY about the picts guys lost the card on the trail and have not had a chance to get back into the machine..... I have been clutching our new 270 mtx and it has been a handful! but i think i have it nailed down! Good old 8BU weight always come through in a pinch

Ever thought of trying the rats for the polaris?

I am using the rats with 2.5 balls and black spring. Secondary is stock. With hindle exhaust I am pulling 9300 RPM. In the mountains i would like to get the revs up at it was hitting 7400. Mine did not come with lighter balls though.

Before exhaust and 20 tooth gear it was 8400 Like you guys. Wonder what the stock spring would do in the primary. No snow to try it out.

I moved over to 2speeds from these. The 'Rats were just not trail friendly enough....

x2 Good move.. I could not agree more..

any pictures or updates on this as i have a set and have only had a hour to test and i am not even close to the right rpms but i am going out this weekend for 3 days and should get a chance to try them

Guys i gave up on the RAT weights, i could not get them to work right, i tested and did everything i could! I went back to 8bu weight and it is much much stronger all the way through the rpm

aggressive profiles....good for drag racing if you can get them to work. If you go to the TY main page, go to the technical pages, then to clutching, then weights...you'll find pics of the weights, showing their profiles.

White secondary @90? How many people does it take to twist the helix onto the secondary? Why wouldn't you control the shift rate with less helix angle rather then twisting it so much?

It only takes me to put it on, i was running an epi purple turbo spring for a while with the rat weights and that took two guys.... With the 39 degree helix it alows me to get a very hard hit out of the hole and keep pulling the tall gearing at the top..... I tried a 41 degree helix and i was not very happy with the launch, I have tried 39,41,43,45, and a few multi's and the best one still is the 39..... I treat this sled like a race sled, the harder it hits out of the hole and quicker the responce the better, if i had a 37 helix i would try that as well..... super snappy off the bottom
