We geared my buddy's up one tooth on the top. Helped it out some, we ride 4000' to 6000'. MTXs come geared for 10,000 from the factory.

One thing you might want to do is use a jiffy marker to place a mark on your primary clutch to make sure your clutches are shifting out completely. With stock gearing, 8 tooth drivers and MC-X turbo I had more track speed than a stock M7.

Stock is 17-41, I have tried both of these combos 18-41, 19-41. The best result for me was stock 17-41 for my riding which is tight wooded 0-50 MPH. The 18, 19 tooth top gear was better mid to top end response and no incresase in dreamometer 81 MPH max. and .50 mile per gallon on milage. I have 18, 19 tooth both for sale $50.00 includes shipping.

There is another post on this forum that a guy posted the results of a 19, 20, and 21 tooth top gear and claimed he had much better top speed, so unless im missing something here I beleive you should have noticed a better top speed. Im wondering because I have an MCX with a 17 tooth and im looking for better top speed...

I run stock MTX gearing with 9 tooth drivers on my turbo and it works awsome.

Have a part number, or idea what sled the 9 tooth drivers came from?

The Phazer has a 2.52 pitch track stock and I think a 1-1/16" drive shaft. If you plan to use anti ratchet drivers you will need to trim a 1/2" off of the rails.
