I just heard that if I install a rear heat exchanger on my 03 RX-1 I could damage it from my studs that I installed. I also heard that Yamaha doesn't make a guard for this exchanger.. Does anyone know if this is true and what to do to prevent this..

Does the exchanger hang much lower than what the crossover tube did?

Mighty. I have not installed on but someone that sells them told me if we install have studs installed that we could damage a rear heat exchanger if we were to install one. I was wondering if anyone had heard that or ran into this problem. My brothers and I have several RX-1,s as we were going to buy this heat exchanger for all of our sleds this year.
