I just heard that if I install a rear heat exchanger on my 03 RX-1 I could damage it from my studs that I installed. I also heard that Yamaha doesn't make a guard for this exchanger.. Does anyone know if this is true and what to do to prevent this.. :o :o :o

Does the exchanger hang much lower than what the crossover tube did?

Mighty. I have not installed on but someone that sells them told me if we install have studs installed that we could damage a rear heat exchanger if we were to install one. I was wondering if anyone had heard that or ran into this problem. My brothers and I have several RX-1,s as we were going to buy this heat exchanger for all of our sleds this year.
