Rear heat exchangers???

Why does the Nytro not have any heat exchangers on the rear tunnel or running boards as with most all other sleds?

Its funny my buddy, with an Apex, asked me the same thing the other day. I guess the easy answer is it doesnt need them. I havent heard of any over heating issues with the 08 models.

The real reason I wonder is the snow melting ability of the tunnel / running board heat exchangers, as I see there are issues on the XTX in powder.
Any Ideas?

maybe cause they have that massive rad under the headlight......apex only had a very small one by the riders foot

My '08 Nytro overheated all the time. The dealer changed the coolant to a 50/50 mix, now it is perfect. Wig

I have one of those testers, what should it read for temp and what is the approx amount people are taking out to replace with distilled water?

You need to take out about 20-30 ounces. I have my coolant reading about -34 degrees F.

Anyone on here add a rear heat exchanger, I see yamaha has one out?...................Brian
