I am installing a new stock apex tunnel....I don't have my old one here...The question I have is ...where the charge tube/precooler get installed under the left hand front corner of the tunnel....There is 4 rivets that go through the top down into the tunnel..in the mcx instruction book they say to drill these 4 out and install m5 screws from the bottom up, but this is where the gas tank sits so how is that going to work...I don't think they were drilled on my old tunnel, but when the charge tube is installed it looks like its going to rub on them...anybody remember when they installed theirs.....thanks in advance........

Drill out the rivets as advised and put in standard aluminum rivets that you hammer over, I think arctic cat uses them to attatch thier running board trim. I then put something like a piece of rubber or some kind of dampener on top so they didn't rub the tank, or you can pound the rivets pretty flat and still have good structural integrity.

The idea is to get rid of the rivet that may rub thru the charge tube. The m5 screws had a small pan head. The rest of the screw is cut of flush with the nut on the top side of the tunnel so that it doesn't rub thru the tank.
I hope this helps.

Turblue,
I see that you are swaping tunnel. Do you by any chance have a extra set of running board heat exchangers (left and right side) from the apex mountain tunnel?
