Any of guys installed a MPI tunnel and rearmount turbo? The tunnel has a drop down holey channel where the exhaust runs to the back. The charge tube sits on a angle and will not work with that piece in there.
Did you guys modify the charge tube or the tunnel?
I was thinking of cutting the charge tube and adding an offset piece in.
I will take some pictures. For now here is one from MPI
Thanks for any help

Do you know if the stock exhaust is supposed to ride above that center section with the holes? If so; what protects the seat and fuel tank from the top side of the ehaust?
From the looks of the picture (when zoomed in) that middle piece is riveted in. Maybe a guy could drill out the rivets and flip that piece over so it pointed up (similar to the hump in the stock tunnel) then re-rivet it back in place. This would eliminate the chance of loosing the integrity of the tunnel to resist flexing and buckeling; whereas, your approach could allow the tunnel to flex by cutting that center piece.
Or maybe even cut the center section out of your stock tunnel to fit across that gap and then remove the section with the holes all together. This would put back some wight that is removed by having the holes cut in that piece though.
Edit; I sent a PM to Jason aka (Whitee). He has that tunnel on his Super Charged RX-1mtn. He should be able to shed some light on where that piece is located in regards to the exhast.

Have you already bought that tunnel? I had one and the running boards are really slippery which I didn't like.

I have had many of their tunnels over the years and have no problems. I do had lots of traction to the floor boards. This new will have my version of snow eliminators.
I just don't why they put that holy channel in when the stock shield will give rigidity once installed.

mpi tunnel
I have that tunnel on my sled I think the holey lower part is more of shield so the track doesnt hook the exhaust it might be somewhat structural but if you needed to cut some of it out you should be ok as long as you stiffenend up the heat shield under the seat with thicker material. But it might be easyer to rebend your exhaust and charge tube.
