rear mount turbo ?

Hi there im currently running a rear mount turbo and it has a thin mesh prefilter type material over the intake just wondering if anyone has ran a k an n or similar filter instead? would yhis cause a flow restriction issue? thx in advance!

Yupp, when i bought my first turbo they had an K&N filter with an snow pre-filter sock over it, i had alot of trouble with it from icing, that's why everyone only run with an snow pre-filter sock now!
