Maybe something small. I have an 07 Attak. I'm in the process of extending it to a 144. Even with that 144 extension, I don't have much room. I had to buy a Apex mountain rear plastic peice, get a different tail light, and get turn downs for my exhaust. It's really cramped back there. I baught a gas rack from Alpine, which is pretty good sized. If all you want is storage, there is plenty of spots for bags. ( Nose, tank, etc. ) Just an idea.

Due to me getting a blower, I have a nose bag for sale, if you are interested.

I have been looking for turndowns for my '07 Attak GT for almost a year now and I have resigned myself to the fact that I am just going to have to have them made. Where did you get yours?? Are they chrome or stainless?? How are you going to install them??

I'm looking for either a stainless set that I can weld in place or a chrome set with set-screws.

Pics would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Structurally, I know Yamaha has a warning placard on the Attak extension that says to keep any weight off of the back. I can tell you this, after fabricating my own tunnel protectors after installing a rear heat exchanger; both the exchanger and the protectors shored the whole extension up enough that I could probably stand on it.

The other thing to watch as someone has mentioned is the heat off the exhaust.

You can't use set screws. The end caps wont fit on if you do. You'll have to tack them on. ( Spot weld ) I bought a chrome plated set that were 9" long and sawed them down to just before the curve of the turn down. My cover will still fit this way. I haven't welded mine on yet, as I am replacing my stock exhaust with a set of Whiteknucke pipes to go with my Supercharger.
The company I bought these tips from was called Superior Auto. I think they were out of Michigan. Both tips were about 7 bucks. If you have any other questions, shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to help you out.

look for a used mountain exhaust. It has the turn outs. Mountain guys are putting their exhaust into tunnel, so some should be availible someplace \ :bling :bling
