Finally got out for a ride last night, only to discover that the rear shock is completely blown. Bummer. I was planning on pulling the skid this week to change the track anyway, but I've got to check and see if the local dealer is able to rebuild shocks. If not it's going to be an expensive replacement I suppose.

is the shock body broken or just lost all nitrogen? I just had both mine redone before xmas for 100 cash locally.

Just lost the charge. I think there's a guy here that can rebuild them too. Hope so.

I knew mine were very due for a rebuild riding the last miles last season so when I had the skid out to replace hyfax and check everything I took them off and got them done, from the one ride I have taken this year its riding much better. I need to set it all up again now but that's ok assuming we get some snow! Best hundred bucks spent so far this season!

How do you know your shock is blown? Ride?

You will be able to tell by the pogostick ride and bottoming I am sure. If not pull the skid and shocks out, they should be difficult to compress (against the ground or bench whatever you wish)and should return to full extension when not in the skid with no weight. :bling

I knew mine was blown when my rebound adjuster stopped working.....
