For Apex Mnt. and others with torsion spring rear skids. I'm wondering if anyone, (MPI maybe) makes the steel arms in the rear skid out of chromoly as a lighter replacement version. I know Nextech makes the float conversion which saves around 10 lbs but I'm thinking if we could replace the other two steel arms with titanium or chromo it would save more weight? I like the function of the skid especially with the gas shock in the rear but would like to loose 20lbs ? Just considering all options, yes I know about the K-mod, Holtz, Timbersled etc. BUT If I were to use the stock skid I could by a piece at a time to eventually get the complete light weight package....make sense? Any thoughts?
