Hey guys me being new to Yamaha , I would like to ask this.
Will the rear springs be enough for me.
I am 270 lbs witout my gear on.
I had a 04 Rev 800 HO X and it sucked, the rear allways bottomed out , even my g/fs 03 sport didnt bottom out as bad.
Do I need to inquire about heavier rear springs?, not so heavy as dealer put in the Rev.
They put in 440 race springs, man they killed my back all winter then pulled them out and swaped with her 03 my 04 stock for her 03s.
Shoulda did that at begionning of season.
Anyways I ride hard and fast, dont want to have to be bottoming out all the time.
Any help appreciated.
Scott

FYI the 04 REV had a softer rear spring calibration that the 03 REV, it runied the rear skid for most anyone over 200lbs IMO. But I guess you already figured that out..lol

Matt put you on to a good thread
You weigh just a bit more than the guy who admins/owns the forum, MrSled. I'd watch for what he says because he got some extended ride time on a near final spec Apex prototype. I think the stock Apex spring is a tad firmer than the RX 1 but I could be wrong. You are probably near the dividing line of simply moving the clip vs a heavier spring.
