just put 270 miles on my 05 rx-1. I cannot get the front end to stop "rolling over" in high speed corners. I keep adding more preload but to no avail. Very unsetling to say the least, it feels like an artic cat front end with no sway bar. I think stiffer springs are in order. Does anyone know the spring rate for the front springs? Has anyone done anything with the front of the 05 yet? where can I get springs?
I have the rear end close to where I want it but can't dial in the front

You can get stiffing springs at Maxximum Performance. I think the standard rate on the 2005 is 1.9 kg. Maxximum has 2.1kg, 2.3kg, and even a 4.1kg.

To be honest, all I did to my 05 RX-1 was add a set of Simmons Flexi skis and I have no problems. I also have an 03 RX-1 and had to do the links, thicker sway bar, straight rate springs, and Simmons skis on that sled to correct the problem. It was a hand full before those corrections.

How much do you weight with gear? People over 220 pounds seem to be having this problem. Search for posts by Mr. Sled as he has posted some solutions.

I have added a 13 mm to my 05 but letting the sled sit in more will help...it lowers the CG and uses the torsion bar more...

make sure the link is not stripped, i had a f111 do this, what a wild ride with no sway bar. you will need someone to look while you rock the sled from side to side.

Damn Scott thats a big AV, can you make that smaller it pushed all the sceen to one side. :)

STAIN: You're going the wrong way. Don't tighten, LOOSEN. Put the front end up on a garage jack until both skis are off the ground, then loosen the springs ALL THE WAY until they're just not flopping around. Then tighten the limiter strap on the back until you again have positive steering.

I started full loose and adjusted from there, no good.
L.B. I think the cure you are describing is for a sled that is lifting the inside ski. Mine isn't lifting the inside ski, it is rolling over on the outside ski.
Dosen't Yamaha recomend to not adjust the limiter on the 05? I generally use the limiter as a last option for adjusting.
Anyway I have a set of #130 springs from Maxximum on order and will report back later ;)!
