Rear suspension back from powder coater...SWEET

Sweet looking pictures!!! They did a nice job on the rear skid. Are the rear axle wheels new, or are they the original. I went with the same (black) wheel as you, but replaced my axle wheels with the black spoke style. I can't wait to see how the "Dormant Red" looks on the '06 RTX.

I don't think the rear axle wheels are factory '06 wheels. They have replaceable bearings. At some point they must have been swapped out. I am the second owner of my sled.

I really like how this turned out for you. How did the while hold up over the winter?

In about a week I'm sending my skid components off to Welteracer for the Beef Up kit and for gloss white arms and gloss black rails, so I'm just curious to know how the white hold up.

Thx dude!

Mike

I've got my skid out on the work bench right now to go through everything this offseason. The finish has held up well. I like the contrast of the white skid and black sled.

With the white you'll have to do a bit of cleaning in the offseason to get the squeaky clean look again. The grease from the pivot arms does work its way onto some of the components during the course of the season.

You'll like the look and appreciate the durability for sure. You should get your ilder mounts done as well.

Recent Bonus: I found a nice brand new white spring in a 6.1kg/mm (6.0 N/mm) spring to replace the chipped yellow ohlins one on my ECS. Best part was it was only $22 on Fleabay! For a while WP suspension manufactured springs that fit the 46mm ohlins shocks. A a guy in WA was blowing out some new old stock.

That looks very nice!!!!! The white spring will compliment your rear skid perfect. I liked your idea so much that I tried to procure one myself but the guy is sold out. So instead I'll just have Welteracer powder coat my rusty Ohlins spring white or black.

But congrats on putting together a sweet looking skid!
