Hello,

I want to send this out for a sanity check: Last winter I had to have both my 2005 RX-1s repaired due to the fact that the pivot arms in the rear suspension were cracked. I was somewhat surprised since we do not ride aggressively and I actually tend to baby the sleds.

The parts that were used to repair the sleds were an upgraded part from Yamaha. It would seem to me that indicates that the original parts where defective. Would it do me any good to contact Yamaha to see if they would cover the cost of the parts since it looks like the original parts were engineered not strong enough for normal use.

I realize the sleds are five years old, but this has been in the back of my mind for quite some time and I just wanted to ask you guys if I should pursue anything with Yamaha and if I would have any chance with getting any money back.

Thanks for any feedback that you can give me. :4STroke:

I think it would be a waste of time. They are not good at that kind of stuff. Only if they actually put out a recal will you get anything back.
