Whenever I push down my rear suspension, it stays down and doesn't go back up. What can I do to fix this? This didn't happen at the end of last season. Should I bring it in to the dealer?

Some will say that it shouldn't come all the way back up after you push it down.
Although I do beleive in sag when I sit on the sled but not when loaded.
Is your sled flat on the floor (not on wheel chocks) when your pushing on it?
I take my chassis out every year inspect, lube all friction points and have the rear shocks rebuilt (recharged).

Its normal. My brand new XRS doesn't come all the way back up. And it only has .8 miles on it.

It sat as if it was bottomed out, but its been sitting in the garage for a few hours. Its back up to the normal spot. Hopefully I get my first ride this week.

Bottomed out? lol, that is not normal.
Was this after a ride and you had lots of ice build-up under the tunnel?

Mine does the same so I had the dealer check it out, and when they removed the shock an compressed it, it worked fine..... who knows, we'll see once I ride it.

This was during my preseason preparations, it doesn't seem normal at all but it works now.

If you basically rode your sled last year, washed it and put it away. Then, hopped on it, jumped up and down and now it won't spring back up don't be suprised. First off, the sled will not fully extend even when new. More importantly, for yours, the spring retainers have a bit of wear, the spring surface itself probably has some spot rust on it. The pivots haven't moved much in over 4-5 months, etc. Point is she's a bit stiff and needs to works loose.

I had this same question a few weeks back. As far as i can tell it is normal. More than likely, it is just the torsion spring that is causing the sag. If you stand on the rear rail with both feet, I think you will see that you still have a whole bunch of travel left in the rear. Some will say you can buy the torsion spring spacers from Hygear if you want....But I did notice mine coming back easier upon greasing all the pivot points in the skid......

Could have sworn I read some somewhere that if you push down and let it back up, from where it stops, if you lift up it should be like 2 inches.
Even when new, mine had a couple inches of sag unloaded. My buddies XRS ( brand new) and my other friends ETEC both had a few inches of sag.
Now, after working on my RTX last week, the suspension seemed stiff. I got on it and jumped up and down several times and it loosened up. Probably from sitting all summer.
Grease the #*$&@ out of your skid. I had to get a high pressure grease gun to get most ( if not all ) of my zerks to take grease.
