I've owned this sled since new. Played around with different clutching/air filters/exhaust etc. After all of my spending money on all of this, I finally just returned everything back to bone stock. This was about six years ago. It was so nice just to ride with family and friends and not have to "tinker"with anything. Well, over the last two years, I've started tinkering again. I converted to a 136" ripsaw track with studs just up the middle. Big difference. Along with this I added the Muffin Works rail extensions. Very nice pieces!! I dropped down to a 23 top gear but left all of the clutching/carbs/airbox etc. stock. My question is this.. Does the Totallyamaha family have any suggestions/recommendations for clutching/gearing/carb springs/etc? I'm looking for just a little low to midrange performance gain. Nothing crazy. Primary/secondary spring? Weights? Helixes? I may have some of the items you suggest. But I just want to install something that has been a proven success. After all, its 14 years old. Someone must have some good proven modifications. Any and all info is greatly appreciated. It's been a while since I posted. Thanks for continuing to be such a great site!!!

Back when these were new, many of us purchased an ECP (eastern cycle performance) kit. It included jets, springs, and K & N filters with pre-filters. This was dyno'd and proven to increase performance. We also used NGK cr9ek plugs (also dyno'd). Many of us also matched this with a heavy hitter clutch kit. I would do a search on the ECP kit and see what you find. I dont know the jet or spring sizes, but have had them installed for 13 years without problems.

i used the green carb springs on my 05 war and it did make it sanppyer in the mid range. i had ulmers clutch kit with a corner to corner set up in it and was happy with it on trail. brother now has drag n' flys with a 41/50 helix on it and it hasbetter snap on the bottom.
