This is a real deep subject, but whatever, I'd like to get a consensus.

Where do you guys put your registration stickers on the APEX. I don't want to put them on the black bellypan cowling, it's too course of material and I doubt the stickers will adhere. I was thinking either the blue gas tank on either side, or right on the aluminum tunnel, just back from the footwells. I'm in WI and they always want them on the lower front cowling.

So what do you guys think?

Check with your local police/liscence burreau what they tolerate or not, here in Ontario you must have a certain HEIGHT & LENGHT and on a certain location on sled.

mine have been on the course plastic since 06 and there still there, back lower part.all you have to do is clean the plastic really good, measure, grab a heatgun/blowdryer warm area to temperature you think is a good amount.>>i did it with a heatgun about 4in away for about 10sec<<then put sticker on >no bubbles<don't melt anything>and pushed med/hard with rag..the heat gets the glue to stick better.DONE! if you do a good job it WILL STAY. :drink:

I second this one.... working in law enforcement, I can attest that every state or province will have different requirements. And the rules are typically very inflexible.

In MN you need to have a registration sticker and a trail permit decal. The registration sticker needs to be on both sides of the sled, but behind the headlight. The trail sticker need to be either (1) on the windshield, or (2) on one of the sides just above one of the registration stickers. Goofy rules, but somebody at the MN DNR thought this one up.

Here is how I applied mine:

I actually doubt I am even completely legal........

Now in terms of getting them to stay there, the sides are coarse and stickers don't want to stick there, but a hairdryer helps....

I got mine on the lower portion of the windshield where the flare for your hands are. They fell off the side panels the first year.

I put mine on the bottom corner of the plastics near the footwell. They stuck all year and actually came off hard. looks stealth to me..

Here in Newfoundland we have to put on the huge ugly red and white sticker that looks like a licence plate. No good place to put it. One good thing I guess is we only register the sled once. No annual registration fee.

Put mine on the tank cover, didn't think they'd stay stuck to the other plastics with rough surfaces like the side panels.

My Vector and Attak. Made a plate, attached to sled and then applied sticker.

I live in Wisconsin, and I haven't had any trouble with the law regarding my registration stickers.

Might have to click the image to get a better view...

Gimmesnow...that's my sled as well. Did you use any additional adhesive, or just heat gun and application of std. decal?

I'm going to put mine in the same place.

Seems you must have had yours through last winter, how did you like it, and is it studded?
