Anyone have any aluminum registration sticker plaques or know where I can get one? I have seen the website where they have plastic ones, but I thought that an aluminum one on my black vector gt would look slik... :rocks:

They are easy enough to make. My buddy made me a pair from thin stainless that looked great on my Vector. He made them on special equipment at his work, but I traced them on some sheet aluminum and made a second pair for my wife's sled. I just cut them with a very sharp pair of snips, filed the edges, drilled the holes and made sure they were flat by block sanding. I finished them off with Scotch Brite for a brushed look finish.

Mine are slightly larger than the stickers, so there is a small finished border. A friend made his the same size as the stickers so the sticker covers the rivets.

Man, I'm in the wrong business. :D

They do seem pricey at first, but they are top-notch quality. They are CNC machined billet aluminum, engraved with the brand name, fully polished, and then powder coated to preserve the shine.

If you just want your sticker to stay on, then making a set of plates in the garage is fine. This is more of a functional accessory if you want to dress-up your sled in the process.

Anyhow, that's my endorsement.

Here's my advice: If you do decide to pickup a set of from Crossover, be sure to verify that your reggy sticker will fit in the opening that he advertises. They were designed for New York Reggy Decals...

My dealer is a John Deere dealer also. John Deere uses a sheet of black plastic about 8 inches wide and 3 ft long in their packing material for the mowers. I got a sheet and cut out plaques to fit the stickers on and then riveted them on the sled. If you rivert the plaques on first then put the sticker on the rivets are covered. I will have to wait three years for a new sticker to cover the rivets on mine.

I just saw that Crossover has his plates on ebay at a discounted price. Item 4586641301

So MI gives you anew sticker every three years?

NYS never gives you a new sticker. The Reggy number even stays with the sled when it is sold. The only way to get a new sticker is to go back to the registry of motor vehicles and request a new number. They give you abunch of crap, but they do it... FOR FREE! You have understand that NOTHING is free in NYS. I think I finally found a loophole. I'm sure they'll figure this one out soon!

Anyhow, last year, the cold weather made my stickers fall off the textured plastic on my Vector, so I got new stickers from the state and bought those plates from the local guy who runs Crossover...

I'm wondering how many of you would be interested in purchasing a pair of stainless registration plates packaged with rivets? I deal with a company that could professionally produce them in quantity, but there would be a sizeable initial investment on my part. Maybe 20.00 a pair plus shipping?

I prefer stainless, as it has a nice finished appearance, corrision resistant, and no need to annodize. I believe the ones I use are 3x6 also for MI registration stickers.
