I am doing the same thing this week. I eyed it up but any tips would help!
I will take pictures along the way and will be doing a build thread.

Just a good drill bit (not too big) and start drilling out the old rivets from the bulkhead. Should take you 10 min from where you are at now

I used an air chisel with a blunt chisel when I installed my tunnel extension and Expert X. Went WAY faster than the other methods I tried. Good luck

YEAH A COMBO OF DRILLING AND A SMALL SHARP COLD CUT TO KNOCK THE HEADS OF THEN A STRAIGHT PUNCH TO POKE THEM THREW,,BEING VERY CAREFULL NOT TO DAMAGE THE BULKHEAD HOLES

Use a 3/16" cobalt drill bit and turn it slow with lube. I've drilled out tons and tons of these rivets this way. If you have your drill spinning too fast it'll spin the rivet and then you'll need to hold it from the rear with vise grips or wire cutters. Air chisels make a huge mess when you slip. Slow and steady wins the race in this case.
If the rivet pull is sticking out of the rivet a little take a die grinder with a round tip and grind the rivet pull down till it is flush with rivet head. You want to be dead center when you drill off the rivet head. If you follow this procedure there won't be a mark on your tunnel when you are done.
