I have it all ready to be pulled, my question is, how many bolts hold it in? whats is the best way to lift it out using an engine hoist? any other helpful hints would be great. I need to replace the stator so if anyone has done this before please let me know what else I need to do, thanks.

I'm not sure if you need to pull the engine. Check with some of Mooseman's posts. He has done some extensive work on Phazers & Venture Lites. He may have a better idea.

Only engine removal I have ever done was parting out a dead Phazer. From what I remember, there are 4 bolts holding the engine. You have to remove the front sub-frame and then drop it down using a floor jack. Again, just going by memory.
As Handy mentioned, you might not need to pull the engine for a stator replacement. Download a copy of the repair manual. Should have info on how to do it.
Thanks for the shout out Handy![Cool  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)

I am in same boat"see code 12" I do not believe engine needs to come out. Front frame, air box and plastic. Water pump comes off as assembly. Shouldn't even have to drain coolant. Oil will need to be drained from tank and engine.
