- Bought a new 05 Vector which I still have
24K miles
My searches haven't come up with anything useful. I need to remove the seat on my new 2014 Vector LTX. I have taken the seat off of my 2005 Vector many times. Is the process of removing the seat on the '14 similar to the '05?
Thanks in advance for any help or tips!

Might be the same but an easy way to check would be to look in the rear seat compartment. On the 2011 + apex's there are 2 bolts in there that you remove to take the seat off. I have not looked yet on the new vectors but should be the same as the apex.

The 2014 Vector should be the same as my 08 Vector.
There are 2 "J" hooks at the rear of the seat. You need to remove the plastic exhaust covers and tail lights cover to access them. I just did the WRP seat on mine, not a big job getting the seat off.

Looks like it's a similar setup to your Vector with the J hooks.

Thanks guys....will be tackling this soon to put in a heating element in the seat. I won't be doing the seat work...going to leave that up to an upholstery shop.

While they are at it, have them add 2-3 inches to the seat height. It makes the sled more comfortable.

To a 2014 LTX seat? Seems high enough already.....While they are at it, have them add 2-3 inches to the seat height. It makes the sled more comfortable.
One thing I have noticed already is that the seat is really spongy. I like that vs. a hard seat but I have to see how it is on the trails.

For me the 14 seat height would not be bad if it would hold. It is quite a soft foam so it squishes down. If I recall I had sold you an apex seat for your 05 vector. A 14 seat would be same as one I sold you. If you are happy with that one then the 14 will be fine as it is. Everyone's preference varies.

Yes you did and thanks again Travis! The seat foam on the Apex seat (now on my 05 Vector) feels a bit stiffer that the foam on the 14. I think it'll be OK but ask me after 1000 (s)miles.

My wife has a 2013 Vector LTX and loves it, but she would be in heaven if she had a heated seat. Is there a heated seat kit that would fit the Vector LTX, and if so, where can I get one? I know they make a kit for the Viper, can you use that kit? Thanks guys....will be tackling this soon to put in a heating element in the seat. Mine is an aftermarket kit. As they are not a TY advertiser I won't post a link here. PM me (like others have already done) for the info.
